WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH JAMES CURD?


James Curd is back with an update and it's full of good news! Inside this newsletter are updates about the full Greenskeepers album and single, James' album with Ziggy Franklin, as well as new solo projects and remixes coming out soon! James is also working on a secret remix for an international artist that wishes to remain anonymous until the project is completed and he is also busy producing work for a very talented Chicago star! More news on these projects at a later date!

James' new song "Freak Out" featuring Devin Byrnes has just been signed to Permanent Vacation Records out of Munich Germany. It is the first glimpse of James and Devin's work together. The song will be available both on vinyl as well as digitally.
James Curd presents Ziggy Franklin in the album titled "No Need To Fight About It" has been snapped up by Smash Hit Music. We are excited to announce that Smash Hit will be releasing the new album along with remixes of the first two singles. Ziggy's album has already been making waves among the music licensing house, Zync in New York and has landed an online campaign by Passionate marketing agency.

James has teamed up with Mos Def and Lenny Kravitz to raise money to benefit those affect by the oil spill. In an all-night jam session Lenny Kravitz, Mos Def and others wrote "It Ain't My Fault". James worked his remix magic for the song that will be featured on the CD released by Sony to which all proceeds going to Gulf Aid.  Click here to listen and watch the music video!

James Curd follows up "We Just Won't Stop" (released on DFA) with "Through All This Stuff". James has made a new old school dance floor heater featuring JDub on the microphone. Coming out soon on Smash Hit Music with a big surprise remix along with another James Curd track "Live Forever".
Greenskeepers' second single "I Am Trying" from the forthcoming album "Live Like You Wanna Live" is coming out in August on Child's Play. It features remixes by Juan MacLean and Flosstradamas. Check out the promo footage for the album here!
James Curd's "Got To Have" remix EP coming soon on GKM. This remix EP features mixes by Flight Facilities, Turbotito aka Filip from Guns and Bombs, Sylaxia (Tommie Sunshine and DJ Figures band name), along with a new mix by James. It also features cover art by Spikepress!

James' G-Swing styled track "Bang In Your Face" originally released on Classic Records is on Beatrice Ardisson's new compilation Swing Mania
Greenskeepers' "Planet" will be released on Brooklyn Fire, a new label by Tommie Sunshine. Release will include the original as well as remixes by Rob Threezy, James Curd, Trump Disco, The Phantom's Revenge and more!
Black Strobe gets the James Curd magic with his remix of their track "Italian Fireflies".
James Curd gives the track "In To My Life" by Aussie band We Are Fans a signature working over! Coming out on Jupiter Clique, Australia.
James Curd is remixing for a fellow DFA label-mate, Kim Ann Foxman of Hercules And Love Affair. The remix will come out on their new label called "Mr. International".
